TMBA in Glen Cove, NY seeks a qualified engineer to design and configure building automation and HVAC control systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. You will select hardware, prepare diagrams, and coordinate with sales and project teams to deliver integrated solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering, experience with HVAC controls, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
• Experience in the design of HVAC Control Systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Designs and configures complex building automation and HVAC control systems including integration to other low voltage systems.
• Selects hardware, transducers and other components to interface with controlled equipment.
• Produces diagrams and schedules (flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, IO summaries, sequences of operation, equipment schedules, data sheets).
• Prepares proper documentation and manuals for systems operation.
• Coordinates with project team to create as-built drawings and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Designs and configures complex building automation and HVAC control systems including integration to other low voltage systems.
• Selects hardware, transducers and other components required to interface with controlled equipment.
• Provides detailed information to communicate design intent to customers and subcontractors including flow diagrams, point to point wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, IO summaries, sequences of operation, equipment schedules, and product data sheets.
• Completes project layout based on proposal, specifications and discussion with sales engineers and project engineers.
• Coordinates field changes from the project team to create as-built drawings.
• Prepares proper documentation and/or manuals for systems operation.
• Participates in meetings with consulting engineers and project owners to resolve conflicts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Understanding and experience in the design of HVAC Control Systems.
• Ability to read & interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Design software knowledge required, AutoCAD preferred.Ability to analyze control system drawings and schedules a plus.
• Schneider Electric/Andover Controls product knowledge, a plus.

Annual Salary: $70,000 – $120,000, Dependent upon experience level.
