Job summary

SCA Performance, Inc. seeks a Design Engineering Specialist to drive vehicle program launches within the Production Integration group, bridging design and mass production. You will design and develop 3D models, considering fabrication processes and prototype vehicles.

You will create jigs and components, operate 3D printers and CNC machines, document manufacturing steps, and support continuous improvement across several programs.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree required with hands‑on design experience.
• SolidWorks 3D modeling proficiency and CAD familiarity.
• Knowledge of FEA, FMEA and lean manufacturing practices.
• Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping processes.
• Drafting techniques and producing precise technical documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead program launch initiatives from design hand‑off to mass production.
• Design for manufacturability; implement design changes to parts.
• Develop 3D models for jigs, templates, and components.
• Operate 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters; build prototypes.
• Prepare manufacturing docs; coordinate with suppliers and customers.
• Create assembly processes and first‑article feedback loops.
• Document assembly prints and communicate project status to teams.
• Develop test procedures and standards; support multiple programs.
