Job summary

Superior Ind is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer in Morris, Minnesota, to coordinate product design and development for equipment processing bulk materials. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering and experience with SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related education required.
• Thorough understanding of drafting standards and mechanical relationships.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product design and development for bulk material processing.
• Design and detail custom conveying equipment.
• Perform design analysis and complete bills of material.

Mechanical power relationships (horsepower, torque, speed, ratios)

Shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis

Job Description

• Coordinate product design and development for equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates
• Design and detail custom conveying equipment
• Perform design analysis for components
• Complete bills of material
• Evaluate and implement design changes
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

  • ASD steel design code
• Training and/or experience in using SolidWorksor similar 3D CAD software
