Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer with over 10 years of engineering expertise and a minimum of 5 years designing solenoids and valves. Preference will be given to candidates with pneumatic valve design experience. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of electromechanical systems and a proven track record in product development from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of solenoids and solenoid valves, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product integration and delivery.
• Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., Solidworks) for modeling, drafting, and detailing designs.
• Conduct thorough analyses, including thermal, structural, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments, to validate design integrity.
• Engage with customers to define explicit requirements and provide technical direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Valve design and design engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Solidworks.
• Experience with valves, solenoids, fluid systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Mechanical design engineering including new product development and introduction.
• Ability to conduct mechanical analyses such as thermal, structural, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments.
• Knowledge of GD&T, mechanical design, drafting, and project management.
• Experience with CAD software.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience and 5 years minimum designing solenoids and valves, preferably within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
• Pneumatic valve design experience is a plus.
