Job summary

TSP talent in Oregon is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to provide expert leadership in precast and prestressed concrete design, independently managing complex projects and making critical engineering decisions. You will review plans, codes, and standards, mentor junior staff, and standardize tools and practices across projects.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. This role requires a PE license and a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, with proficiency in engineering

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE license required.
• Strong understanding of structural design, code requirements, and precast/prestressed concrete.

Role Overview

The Senior Design Engineer provides expert technical leadership in precast and prestressed concrete design, independently managing complex projects and making critical engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project designs by reviewing plans, specifications, and standards;
• apply advanced knowledge of concrete behavior, connections, load paths, safety, and code compliance;
• serve as a technical liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders;
• evaluate non-standard conditions and develop practical solutions;
• perform quality reviews of engineering documents;
• mentor junior staff;
• and standardize engineering tools and practices across projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, PE license required;

Preferred Attributes

• Multiple state PE licenses;
