Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Design Engineer in the Des Moines area to execute the design process from ideation through to production. You will create new designs, update existing ones, and ensure designs meet all design responsibilities.

The role is a long-term contract with a pay rate of 28–38 USD per hour depending on experience and location. You will handle multiple complex projects while ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Aerospace engineering.
• SolidWorks, hydraulics, structures, FEA, GD&T, sheet metal, print creation and reading, ECN process.
• CAD experience with print creation and reading; strong organizational and communication skills.

Job description

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join a reputable company in the Des Moines IA metro! The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meeting all necessary design responsibilities.

Role Type: Long Term Contract

Rate: 28-38/hr W2 - The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Qualifications

• Solidworks, Hydraulics, Structures, FEA, GD&T, Sheet Metal, Print Creation and Print Reading (Weld and Part), ECN Process
• CAD experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
