Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Concord, NH is seeking a Design Engineer for a 6-month engagement. The role focuses on safe design concepts for industrial gas applications, with responsibilities spanning CAD, drawings, BOMs and system design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of industrial gas applications is required.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Min. 2 years experience in project engineering or design, preferably in industrial gas or machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Visibly and actively support the client safety culture through proactive engagement.
  • Integrate safe design concepts in products and projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of CAD technologies and practices.
  • Maintain technical drawing and BOM library.
  • Design panels and systems that are ergonomic and safe to operate.
  • Assist in design, specification, installation and integration of gas manufacturing systems.
  • Produce technical drawings and BOMs under engineering design team guidance.
  • Participate in Design Review, Process Hazard Analysis and EMOC meetings as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement within the design group, including standards and tooling.

Job description

Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Concord, New Hampshire 03301

Duration: 6 Months

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
  • Visibly and substantially support the client Safety Culture through proactive engagement and by making safety a part of every decision.
  • Integrate safe design concepts in all products and projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and experience in recent CAD technologies and practices.
  • Maintain technical drawing and bill of material library
  • Design panels and systems that are easy to maintain and safe to operate from ergonomic stand point.
  • Assist in the design, specification, installation, and integration of chemical and gas manufacturing systems.
  • Under the direction of the engineering design team, produce technical drawings and bills of material for detailed design packages for mechanical and electrical processes.
  • Participate in Design Review, Process Hazard Analysis and EMOC meetings as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement within the design group - e.g. development of standards, engineering tools, etc.

  • Knowledge of design tools including Solidworks, ACAD, for mechanical and electrical design
  • Knowledge of simulation tools using Solidworks Simulation
  • Ability to do basic engineering calculations and use tools
  • A working knowledge of international codes/directives
  • Strong organisational skills
Required qualifications/experience
  • Bachelors or technical degree (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering prefered)
  • Strong communications skills
  • Report or technical writing skills
  • Min. 2 years experience in project engineering or design preferably related to industrial gas applications or machinery
  • SolidWorks experience (CSWP preferred)
