Job summary

Aequor is seeking a skilled Drafter to join our Fort Worth team. You will gather drawings and specifications, calculate material requirements, and set up production methods. You’ll handle multiple projects and perform all phases from research to redline updates, under engineers' direction.

Responsibilities include creating CAD designs, reviewing diagrams, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Strong ADDA credentials and CAD software proficiency are required for this role.

Qualifications

• ADDA certification or technical degree is required.
• Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software and drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and material requirements.
• Describe production methods and tools to be used step-by-step.
• Create detailed designs with CAD software.
• Design diagrams, maps, and layouts to illustrate workflow.
• Prepare and review rough sketches with engineering team.
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products for better functionality.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.

Job Summary

Drafter responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements and setting up production methods. Responsible for drafting duties on multiple projects and will be capable of all phases of a drafting project including: research, support, implementing designs as directed by engineers, redline updates, and other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
• Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
• Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow
• Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
• Create manuals that describe existing products' operation, features and maintenance

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or certification from American Design Drafting Association (ADDA)
• Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
