Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Design Drafter for our Windows division in Medford, Wisconsin. You will create detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, generate BOMs, apply GD&T, and manage revisions in Vault (PDM).

You’ll collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to ensure manufacturability, maintain documentation in SharePoint and MS Office, and help develop and improve PDM procedures and practices. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years drafting experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Associate degree in related field preferred.
• Knowledge of window/door products and fenestration preferred.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency required.
• PDM knowledge and experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Self-starting, results-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings/models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Produce assembly drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Apply tolerances, GD&T, and drafting standards.
• Manage files and revisions in Vault (PDM).
• Maintain documentation using SharePoint and MS Office/Teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support product development and manufacturing.
• Review/update drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Coordinate and create engineering models/drawings for product design.
• Assist with maintaining models/drawings within PDM and supporting drafting procedures.
