Superior Industries is seeking a Design Drafter to create and refine structural designs for cutting-edge projects. You will produce accurate blueprints, assembly drawings, and bills of material, collaborating to ensure all documentation meets production standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Inventor with strong drafting skills.
• Ability to learn Advance Steel and JD Edwards ERP quickly.
• Certifications or formal education in drafting preferred.
• Familiarity with AISC drafting standards, tolerances, and 3D/2D layouts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural blueprints and detailed fabrication, weldment and assembly drawings.
• Generate bills of material and routing information in JD Edwards ERP system.
• Update and modify drawings to reflect design changes and production needs.
• Ensure drawings and bills of material meet production requirements and drafting standards.
• Contribute design ideas for new or improved products while meeting deadlines.

Design Drafter

Join Superior Industries' innovative team as a Design Drafter, where you will play a pivotal role in creating and refining structural designs for cutting-edge projects. This dynamic position demands strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will be responsible for producing accurate blueprints, assembly drawings, and bills of material, while collaborating on design improvements and ensuring all documentation meet production standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare structural blueprints and detailed fabrication, weldment, and assembly drawings.
• Generate bills of material and routing information in JD Edwards ERP system.
• Update and modify drawings, ensuring design changes are accurately implemented.
• Ensure drawings and bills of material meet production requirements and company drafting standards.
• Contribute design ideas for new or improved products while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using AutoCAD, and/or Inventor, Google Drive, and Windows-based software.
• Ability to quickly learn Advance Steel and JD Edwards ERP software.
• Possess certifications, technical education, or relevant experience in drafting.
• Thorough understanding of:
  • AISC drafting standards
  • Dimensioning and tolerances
  • 3-dimensional layouts and 2-dimension projections
