Job summary

Momentum Worldwide in New York is seeking a senior designer to lead brand design initiatives across a range of media, from large-scale graphics to digital presentations.

You'll translate concepts into brand-appropriate directions, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver polished moodboards and compelling visual stories. A strong portfolio and 8–10 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
  • 8-10 years experience preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating passion for design and experiential.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Natural communicator with strong visual and verbal presentation skills.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, allocating work across resources.
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a energetic environment.
  • Collaborative spirit and drive to take ownership of the work.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Actively participates in concept and design brainstorms
  • Illustrates a passion for traditional design principles, with ability and interest to challenge the status quo
  • Translates high-level concepts into brand-appropriate design directions
  • Creates in-situation mock-ups with applied graphics
  • Delivers polished moodboards to communicates design
  • Leadership and application of exceptional design skills across a range of mediums, from large scale graphics, presentations, animation boards, logos/lockups, brand identities, signage, patterns etc.
  • Speaks to design intent and visual story-telling across multi-functional teams
  • Maintains consistent creative quality while leading the application of brand guidelines
  • Manages multiple projects with fast deadlines; thriving in a dynamic environment
  • Stays abreast of the competitive design landscape to better understand brand objectives, target audience and industry trends to share back with the larger team
  • Presents work internally and to clients
  • Mentors and manages more junior team members, associate level and below

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
  • 8-10 Years Experience Preferred
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your passion for design and experiential
  • Strong skill in layouts, typography, line composition, color, photography, comping, visualization, and graphic design fundamentals
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Natural communicator with strong visual and verbal presentation skills
  • Experience in passionately leading and managing teams, allocating work across resources for freelance and full-time employees, and inspiring exceptional work
  • Hustler at heart who can adapt to rapidly changing priorities in an energetic environment.
  • Collaborative spirit and drive to take ownership of the work

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $162,500. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; location and region; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
