Job summary

Janie and Jack is seeking a Design Director, Textiles and Concepts in San Francisco to drive seasonal trend development, color and print direction, and line development across 18–24 assortments yearly.

You will lead the textile team, partner with cross-functional teams, and travel domestically and internationally to research trends and source inspiration while maintaining the brand’s creative vision and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in apparel design.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead the creative vision by identifying key trends and translating into seasonal concepts.
• Develop and oversee seasonal color direction and cohesive palettes.
• Establish print, pattern, and graphic direction across departments.
• Mentor the textile team with clear direction and feedback.
• Collaborate with product development, sourcing, and overseas vendors to maintain design intent and quality.
• Travel domestically and internationally to research trends and source inspiration.
