Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Design Director to lead the Resilient & Laminate design strategy across residential brands and channels. You will shape the portfolio, direct creative direction, and translate consumer insights into market-ready collections that differentiate our product line.

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams, and a track record of delivering design-led growth across global markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading design teams and strategy for floorcovering categories.
• Strong portfolio showing successful product design and leadership across multiple brands.
• Excellent collaboration with product, marketing, sales, manufacturing and sourcing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant design fields; advanced degrees/certifications desirable.
• 5+ years of product design experience in hard or soft surface flooring or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead the long-term design vision and strategy for Residential Resilient & Laminate categories.
• Develop category roadmaps aligned with consumer trends and business objectives.
• Monitor trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities and innovation spaces.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Design Studio to accelerate innovation and launches.
• Own design differentiation across brands and ensure compelling design stories for collections.
• Oversee cross-functional collaboration to support category growth and market success.
