Lane Bryant is seeking a Director of Design to oversee seasonal design from concept to production fittings. You will lead the design team in executing the direction set by senior leadership and collaborate across Merchandising and Product Development to uphold the Lane Bryant brand identity.

The role requires a Design background with a strong leadership track record, exceptional styling sense, and the ability to drive innovative concepts while partnering with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Design.
• 10 years of experience in Design, including large corporate settings.
• Exceptional sense of style, fabric, color and technical knowledge.
• Creative and innovative design and conceptualization ability.
• Exceptional leadership and managerial skills.
• Strategic and analytical thinker.
• Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and divisions.
• Highly organized and capable of anticipating change and adapting quickly.
• Ability to travel internationally.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the seasonal design process from color concept to production fittings.
• Lead the design team and execute direction set by senior leadership.
• Partner with Merchandising and Product Development to maintain brand identity.
• Approve off-standard colors for production with the tech color team.
• Direct staff in product development, mood boards, designing, specs and fit.
• Provide direction for silhouettes and ensure timely prototypes.
