The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising is seeking a full-time Design Coordinator for Interiors in Los Angeles. This role focuses on supporting interior design projects, particularly for employees who do not hold NCIDQ certification. In the role of a Design Coordinator, Interiors, you will support interior design projects for employees who are not NCIDQ certificate holders. This position is intended for recent graduates working to fulfill the required employment hours to sit for the NCIDQ examination. You will demonstrate solid design thinking and strong knowledge of design fundamentals via your college portfolio. You must possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to clearly present and explain a design concept to supervisors and peers. You will take direction from others, maintain a positive attitude, and be a self‑starter and team player. A strong desire to learn about and progress through the interior design profession is critical. Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, the Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp/Rhino (or similar), Bluebeam and Microsoft Office is required.
