Job summary

Scan Design of Florida is seeking a Design Consultant for our Kirkman location to blend interior design expertise with consultative sales, guiding clients from concept to white-glove delivery. In this high-performance role, you will act as a brand ambassador, translating a global collection into dream spaces while maintaining a showroom that reflects our 50-year legacy of luxury and service.

Weekend availability and holiday events are expected as part of peak-season scheduling, with guaranteed

Qualifications

• Proven track record in high-end, relationship-based sales.
• Self-motivated and targets-driven with weekend availability.
• Ability to visualize and communicate sophisticated interior layouts.
• Prior experience in Interior Design, Home Staging, or Luxury Retail preferred.
• Familiar with Floor Planner or AutoCAD to create visual proposals.

Responsibilities

• Sales Consultation: Engage with clients in-store and in-home to identify needs, aesthetics, and budget requirements.
• Space Planning: Develop comprehensive floor plans and layouts showing how Scan Design pieces fit a client’s space.
• Curated Styling: Select accessories, finishes, lighting, and rugs to create a cohesive, elevated interior.
• End-to-End Project Management: Oversee client journey from introduction through procurement to white-glove installation.
• Showroom Excellence: Assist in visual merchandising to keep the showroom a premier design destination.

We are looking for a Design Consultant for our Kirkman location who is as motivated by sales targets as they are a beautiful floor plan.

This is a high performance sales role. You will act as a brand ambassador and a creative visionary. You will act as the vital link between our global collection and the client's dream space, utilizing a sophisticated blend of interior design expertise and consultative sales techniques to manage projects from initial concept to final white-glove delivery.

Schedule & Availability

The most successful consultants know that peak earning happens when the clients are shopping. To be considered, candidates must be available for:

• Weekend Excellence: Regular Saturday and Sunday shifts


• Holiday Events: Availability during promotional holidays and seasonal sales events


• Retail Hours: Consistent coverage during showroom operating hours

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

• Consultative Sales Excellence: A proven track record in high-end, relationship based sales (luxury retail, interior design, or real estate) with an emphasis on building long-term client rapport.


• Performance-Driven Autonomy: A self-motivated professional who thrives on achieving sales targets and views peak selling hours (including weekends) as their primary opportunity for financial rewards.


• Spatial Vision: Demonstrated ability to visualize, conceptualize, and communicate sophisticated interior layouts and multi-functional space solutions.


• Industry Expertise: Prior experience in Interior Design, Home Staging, or Luxury Retail is highly preferred.


• Tech-Forward Design: Professional familiarity design tools (Floor Planner, AutoCAD, etc) to produce accurate and compelling visual proposals.


• Brand Ambassadorship: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the poise and professionalism required to represent a legacy brand like Scan Design.
