Job description

A fast-growing international hospitality and entertainment operator is expanding its U.S. footprint.

About the Role

We are looking for a Design & Construction Project Manager to guide new venues and existing-location improvements from early planning through opening. This is an owner-side role for someone who can connect design intent, permitting, construction execution, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple venue projects from due diligence and design coordination through construction, turnover, and closeout.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, specialty consultants, general contractors, landlords, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage permitting and plan-check activity, respond to agency comments, and keep approvals aligned with project schedules.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, milestones, change orders, RFIs, reporting, and risk tracking.
  • Review plans, specifications, and construction documents for quality, constructability, brand consistency, and operational fit.
  • Conduct site visits, surface issues early, and drive decisions that protect cost, schedule, and opening readiness.
  • Coordinate specialty building systems, including acoustics, sound isolation, AV, technology, and other venue infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • At least five years of project management experience across architecture, construction, development, or design-build environments.
  • Hands-on delivery of tenant improvements or other customer-facing commercial projects; hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, retail, or experiential work is especially relevant.
  • Working knowledge of the full design and construction lifecycle, including permitting, construction administration, budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, change orders, and closeout.
  • Experience coordinating architecture and engineering teams, contractors, landlords, vendors, and municipal agencies.
  • Confidence reading construction documents, visiting active jobsites, identifying risk, and driving cross-functional follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the organization to manage several projects at once.
Required Skills
  • Helpful, but not required: Owner/operator-side project delivery or multi-unit rollout experience.
  • California permitting, plan-check, and commercial construction experience.
  • Experience with acoustic design, sound isolation, AV integration, or specialty venue systems.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, Smartsheet, or comparable platforms.
  • A degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, interior architecture, or a related field.
Pay range and compensation package

This position is based in Los Angeles and requires regular site visits. Projects may be located in California and other U.S. markets, so some travel should be expected.
