Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health, Inc. seeks a Construction Foreman to lead day-to-day operations for hospital construction projects performed by the in-house team. The role requires strong leadership, coordination with contractors and hospital management, and ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with five years in building trades and maintenance, plus three years in a supervisory role and a valid driver’s license. OSHA-30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with five years in building trades and facility maintenance, at least three years in a supervisory role.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record per SJH policy.
• Ability to resolve problems using basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
• OSHA-30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and execution of hospital construction projects by in-house team.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, project managers, and hospital management to meet timelines and budget.
• Inspect construction sites to identify safety and procedural issues.
• Schedule staff across carpenters, painters, HVAC, electricians and plumbers; coordinate cross-department work.
• Maintain budgetary understanding including time and materials spend.
