Qualifications

• AHCA healthcare construction experience is strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations for healthcare construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, inspections, and site logistics.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure work is safely completed on time and per plans.
• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and healthcare facility representatives.
• Manage construction activities within occupied and operational healthcare environments.
• Ensure compliance with infection-control procedures and ICRA requirements.
• Coordinate AHCA inspections, documentation, and project requirements when applicable.
• Conduct daily site walks, subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and quality-control inspections.
• Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field conditions.
• Manage phasing, shutdowns, containment, and coordination with hospital operations.
• Maintain daily reports and accurate project documentation.
• Manage punch lists, inspections, closeout, and turnover.

Position Summary

We are working with several established and growing Commercial General Contractors seeking experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendents for projects throughout South Florida.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing construction within hospitals, medical facilities, outpatient centers, surgical facilities, or other active healthcare environments and must understand the unique safety, infection-control, phasing, and regulatory requirements associated with healthcare construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations for healthcare construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, inspections, and site logistics.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans and specifications.
• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and healthcare facility representatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction field leadership experience preferred.
• Strong healthcare construction experience required.
• Experience working within occupied hospitals or active healthcare facilities strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICRA - Infection Control Risk Assessment procedures.
• AHCA healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare construction safety, infection control, phasing, and occupied-facility requirements.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and subcontractor-management skills.
• Stable employment history and demonstrated success completing commercial construction projects.
