Job summary

Ferguson Construction Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Design Architect to join our on-site design-build team. You will lead design from concept through construction documents, coordinate with in-house and external teams, and mentor junior designers and co-ops.

We work across industrial, commercial, educational, healthcare, and more, with quick timelines and collaborative processes. A professional architecture degree and state registration are required, with 5+ years of experience

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional degree.
• Must be a Registered architect with the ability to be registered in Ohio and Indiana.
• 5+ years of experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; able to lead design-build projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design-build process from conception to completion for diverse project types.
• Develop conceptual designs, prepare construction documents, and assist with permits.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure design integrity.
• Mentor designers and Co-op students; support cross-training within the design department.
• Coordinate with Estimators, Project Managers, and site teams throughout projects.
