Job summary

Horrocks in Las Cruces, NM, seeks a Design-Build Roadway Lead/Manager for our Innovative Pursuits Team to drive transportation projects from pursuit through delivery.

You will lead roadway design teams, coordinate with discipline leads, and act as an integral member of the project management and delivery team, delivering designs that meet client goals on time. The role stresses leadership, communication, and a strong client focus across the Rocky Mountain region.

Qualifications

• Current PE license, preferred states UT/NV/AZ/ID/CO/NM/WA.
• 10+ years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
• 5+ years leading roadway design for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Ability to lead teams and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for DB/PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads and integrate with PM delivery team.
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specs, and quantities.
• Utilize Microstation OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related software.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation (freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared use facilities) DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with Microstation OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
• Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Ability and commitment to be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines
• A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals
