Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking motivated Project Manager Interns for the Summer of 2027 in Emeryville, CA. You will support estimators, schedulers, and design meetings while learning the full lifecycle of construction projects.

You should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher and have a demonstrated interest in the design-build process. The internship offers training, exposure to travel, and potential for a discretionary bonus based on

Qualifications

• GPA minimum 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field of study.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating by describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to projects.
• Create a working timeline for subcontractors to complete the project on time.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design pro structural engineers and architects.
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; receive and evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Review subcontractor drawings with Project Manager and design team; communicate with subs on upcoming work.
• Support billing activities; understand subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and project cost status.
• Visit jobsite with Project Manager and coordinate with Superintendents to ensure smooth project progress.
• Participate in weekly training sessions to learn how the business operates and grow knowledge in building trades.
