Job summary

Southland Industries offers an internship program designed to introduce students to careers in design-build, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. A project engineer intern assists design managers and project managers in coordinating projects with engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services, while developing skills in design, estimating, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Support field labor

• Support design, trade, and subcontractor coordination
• Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impacts, etc.
