Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Design-Build Coordinator to support design-build and alternative delivery projects. You will coordinate design efforts, manage project information, and facilitate communication among engineers, operations, estimating, and clients to ensure coordinated execution from proposal through construction.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years in heavy civil or design coordination, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, design coordination, project engineering, or preconstruction.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between engineers, designers, project managers, estimators, and field operations teams.
• Assist with design reviews and constructability evaluations and track milestones.
• Organize and maintain project documentation, drawings, specifications, and design records.
• Support RFQ/RFP responses, estimates, schedules, and proposals.
• Maintain meeting minutes and follow up on action items and deliverables.
