Job summary

ARCO/Murray, a leading design-build contractor, seeks a Project Manager in Austin, TX to guide construction projects from inception through closeout. You'll oversee estimating, scheduling, quality control, safety, and client coordination to ensure profit and performance.

This role targets engineers early in their career: full-time after graduation, with GPA 3.0 or higher, internship or extracurriculars a plus, and a commitment to integrity and teamwork within our diverse, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field
• Open to fulltime opportunity post grad
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Prior construction internship experience is a plus
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting and safety
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review scope of work and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
• Meet/exceed internal and external client expectations with integrity
