Job summary

Intellectt Inc is seeking a Tooling/Automation Design Engineer in Appleton, WI, to lead fixture design and support manufacturing process improvements. The role focuses on designing fixtures for manufacturing, welding, and inspection using SolidWorks, with 3D layouts, GD&T, and collaboration across teams.

You will support robotic automation initiatives and drive productivity through effective fixture solutions, coordinating with onsite and offshore teams and validating concepts through production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in tooling, fixture design, and manufacturing engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D modeling.

• Design and develop manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks.

Job Position: Tooling/Automation Design Engineer

Location: Appleton, WI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year

Are you experienced in fixture design, SolidWorks, GD&T, and robotic automation? We're looking for a skilled Tooling/Automation Design Engineer to lead fixture design and support manufacturing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks.
• Create 3D fixture layouts, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings using GD&T.
• Support robotic automation and manufacturing engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to validate fixture concepts and support production trials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shop-floor fixture and tooling issues.
• Improve process capability, manufacturing efficiency, and productivity through effective fixture solutions.
• Coordinate engineering activities with onsite and offshore teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in tooling, fixture design, and manufacturing engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of GD&T and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Experience with robotic automation.
• Ability to support fixture validation, production trials, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work onsite in Appleton, Wisconsin.
