Job summary

Business of Home is seeking a Junior Interior Designer / Design Assistant to join a high-end residential design studio in Lower Westchester County. The role is hands-on and supports the Founder across all project phases from concept to installation.

The candidate should be creative, organized, and detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in high-end design and a collaborative approach to team projects.

Qualifications

• Creative, organized, and detail-oriented candidate with a genuine interest in high-end residential design.
• Familiarity with sourcing, documentation, and client presentations is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate closely with the Founder and design team across all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, accessories, materials and finishes.
• Create client presentations, tear sheets, FF&E schedules, renderings and design documents.
• Produce and update AutoCAD floor plans, elevations, details and millwork drawings.
• Assist with procurement and order management from specification through installation.
• Maintain organized project specifications, schedules, samples, materials and vendor resources.
• Participate in site visits, meetings, installations, styling and photoshoots.
• Assist with trade accounts, meeting notes and studio marketing content.
• Collaborate closely with the Founder and design team to keep projects moving forward.

A high-end residential interior design studio based in Lower Westchester County is seeking a Junior Interior Designer / Design Assistant to join our growing practice. This hands-on role works closely with the Founder across all phases of high-end residential projects, from concept and sourcing through documentation, procurement, and installation. We are looking for someone who is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a genuine interest in high-end residential design. The role offers direct mentorship, exposure to the full design process, and opportunities to grow into greater responsibility.

Responsibilities:
