BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (Electrical Engineering preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in engineering
- Experience with communication systems, FAA or military operations
- Experience in troubleshooting and integrations
- RF experience (radio, communication systems, military GPS, military chat, Link 16)
- Networking experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the engineering design, development, analysis, testing, and certification of mission avionics systems for the KC‑46 Pegasus aircraft
- Assist in the development of system level requirements, validation and verification, and design specifications
- Develop test plans and procedures for certification activities
- Coordinate system‑level integration of mission avionics hardware and software
- Define and execute critical tests to validate design performance against system requirements
- Manage technical aspects of critical suppliers and client software teams to ensure compliance with design requirements across all lifecycle stages
- Collect information to support proposal development and conduct trade studies for future upgrades and new business opportunities
- Ensure FAA, military certification, and client airworthiness activities for mission avionics systems and components
- Consult with specialty engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) such as safety, electromagnetic emissions, and cybersecurity
- Provide troubleshooting support in production labs and aircraft when technical issues arise
- Conduct technical issue investigations and root cause and corrective actions (RCCAs)

- Experience in technical subcontract management with suppliers
- Experience developing requirements and performing requirements decomposition
- Experience evaluating aircraft maintenance requirements, certifications or airworthiness directives
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree and typically 5+ years of experience in an engineering classification; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD with engineering experience. Degree must be from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
WORK HOURS
Full‑time, first shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
ADDITIONAL
Domestic travel required, primarily to Tukwila.
