Job summary

SMS Clean is seeking a detail-oriented cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of premises such as commercial, retail, airport, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers, or arenas. You will perform tasks including polishing fixtures, cleaning rooms and hallways, and maintaining floors and surfaces.

The role emphasizes physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions in English. Benefits are provided, and the position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and exposure to various environments.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: No prior experience or training.
• Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one- to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.
• Math Ability: Basic arithmetic with dollars, units, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Keeps premises of commercial, retail, airport, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers/arenas or other institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition.
• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, finishes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
