Job summary

St. Elizabeth HealthCare is seeking a Dermatology Technician to support dermatology providers with patient care, specimen handling, and biopsy assistance. The role emphasizes respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions across patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED is required.
• One year of experience as an MA, LPN, or EMT.
• Active driver's license for travel between office sites.
• Credential such as LPN, CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA or EMT is approved.
• If LPN, must have active multistate nursing license (NLC) in KY, IN or OH.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist the Mohs surgeon during procedures by positioning and draping patients, handling instruments, and providing retraction and visualization of the surgical site.
• Assist with surgical closures including layered closures, flaps, and grafts by preparing materials, sutures, and supplies and assisting during repair.
• Perform wound care including hemostasis assistance, dressing application, and pressure bandaging.
• Provide detailed post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers, including wound care, activity restrictions, medication.
