Epiphany Dermatology, headquartered in Austin, TX, seeks a Mohs Technician to advance patient care with empathy. You will be instrumental in processing, embedding, cutting, and staining tissue specimens to produce quality slides for Mohs surgery diagnosis.

The role emphasizes compliance with CLIA and CAP/CLIA regulations, and collaboration with doctors, patients, and team members. A strong foundation in laboratory science and HIPAA adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience as a Mohs Technician.
• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology is preferred.
• 60 semester credits with chemistry and biology requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient patient flow, while supporting patient safety and satisfaction.
• Map and process specimens, freezing and sectioning per CLIA regulations.
• Implement staining, tissue processing, embedding, and related tasks.
• Organize, file, log, and locate slides/blocks; dispose of outdated slides per CAP/CLIA.
• Operate lab equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Participate in staff meetings and provide input for improvements and solutions.
