Job summary

Iconic Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery in Vero Beach, FL, seeks a Surgical Physician Assistant to support dermatologic surgical procedures under physician supervision. Focus areas include pre-operative evaluation, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative care.

You will conduct focused patient assessments, gather histories, assist with excisions and Mohs-related work, manage wound care, and document care, while educating patients on diagnoses and treatment plans to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Operative room experience with sterile technique and teamwork.
• Suturing and wound management under supervision.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn dermatologic surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative evaluation and intra-operative assistance under physician supervision.
• Perform focused patient assessments, histories, and assist with dermatologic excisions and Mohs-related procedures; wound care and documentation.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans and post-procedure care to ensure quality, compassionate service.
• Collaborate with dermatologists, clinical staff and front-office to maintain efficient clinic and surgical flow.
