Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Akron, OH is seeking a Dermatology Registered Veterinary Technician for a full-time position to support patient care and dermatology treatments. The role involves hands-on care, lab work, and assisting during visits to ensure high-quality service for pets and their families.

You will manage patient intake, monitoring, and discharge while leveraging your anesthesia skills and veterinary nursing expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• Active RVT certification required.
• Strong anesthesia skills expected.
• Positive work attitude and self-motivation essential.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist during dermatology visits with hands-on patient care and treatments.
• Perform dermatology procedures and related laboratory testing.
• Handle patient intake, monitoring and discharge processes.
• Support veterinarians and team to ensure smooth patient flow.
