Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to accompany the dermatologist during patient visits, room patients, and assist with procedures. The role involves scribing, post-op wound care, blood draws, sutures, room preparation, and appointment scheduling. A High School diploma is required; certification as a CMA/LPN/RN is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Post high school education in a medical support field is strongly preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant, LPN or RN is preferred.
• Must keep current state certifications, licenses and registrations.
• Willingness to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documenting all vital information.
• Scribing information for the dermatologist.
• Providing post op wound care to patients.
• Drawing blood and suture removal.
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Assist with procedures such as biopsies, Mohs, phototherapy, injections.
