Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, Wisconsin, seeks a physician resident to provide comprehensive medical care under supervision. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses, while meeting regulatory standards.

Applicants must have matched with Marshfield Clinic through the NRMP process and hold an unencumbered medical license. BLS/ACLS and PALS are required or obtained within 10 days of hire.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Successful passing of USMLE or COMLEX exams required.
• Unencumbered Resident training license in the applicable state(s).
• BLS and ACLS certifications or obtained within 10 days of hire for all resident specialties, except Peds and Med-Peds.
• PALS certifications or obtained within 10 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Documents client/patient information for evaluation; establishes therapeutic plans and modifies them if necessary.
• Knowledge of and utilizes age-related treatments and evaluations.
• Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment.
• Treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Prevent, diagnose, and medically manage diseases and injuries.
• Perform and interpret thorough history and physical exams.
• Formulate diagnoses and differential diagnoses and appropriate management plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including imaging and labs.
• Provide appropriate referrals and consultations as needed.

Job Overview

Provide comprehensive medical care under the supervision of licensed or attending physicians and other medical professionals. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team to diagnose, treat and prevent health conditions. Responsibilities

Documents client/patient information for evaluation; establishes therapeutic plans and modifies them if necessary. Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age‑related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients. Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients. May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders. Will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements. Demonstrates level of treatment associated with their specialty provided to their clients/patients. Prevent, diagnose, and medically and surgically manage diseases, disorders, and injuries. Perform and interpret the findings of a thorough problem‑focused history and physical exam. Formulate an appropriate diagnosis and/or differential diagnosis. Perform (and/or order) and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies, including diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests. Formulate and implement an appropriate plan of management, including direct participation in the evaluation and management of patients in a healthcare setting. Assess the treatment plan and revise it as necessary. Perform and interpret the findings of comprehensive medical history and physical examinations (including pre‑operative history and physical examination). Formulate an appropriate differential diagnosis of the patient’s general medical problem(s). Recognize the need for (and/or order) additional diagnostic studies, when indicated. Formulate and implement an appropriate plan of management, when indicated, including appropriate therapeutic intervention, appropriate consultations and/or referrals, and appropriate general medical health promotion and education. Practice with professionalism, compassion, and concern in a legal, ethical, and moral fashion.

Qualifications

• Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
• Successful passing of USMLE or COMLEX exams required.
• Hold an unencumbered Resident training license for applicable state(s). License must be in good standing by the respective state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications or obtained within 10 days of hire for all resident specialties, except Peds and Med‑Peds.
• Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications or obtained within 10 days of hire.
