Responsibilities
  • Under the clinical supervision of a licensed psychologist who is board approved to provide supervision, evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders; conduct psychological testing as appropriate; diagnose disorders and determine the appropriate course of treatment; use multiple treatment modalities to treat patient illness or distress; cannot prescribe medication.
  • Formulate case conceptualization, diagnostic impressions, and treatment recommendations using information obtained from observations, interviews, records, questionnaires, psychological assessments, and reference materials.
  • Write comprehensive psychological reports using information from the patient’s medical history, clinical interview, test results, and self‑report measures; meet documentation standards of the enterprise.
  • Discuss results/impressions with supervising psychologist who attests the final report; provide evaluation results to patient and family with a discussion of recommendations.
  • Develop and implement individual, couples, family, or group treatment plans using a variety of psychotherapy methods; interact with patients to assist them in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning actions to achieve personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.
  • Assess patients’ progress; evaluate the effectiveness of counseling or treatments and the accuracy and completeness of diagnoses based on the principles and procedures of psychology and related disciplines; modify treatment plans and diagnoses as necessary.
  • Function under the clinical supervision and guidance of a licensed psychologist who is board certified to provide supervision and documents that supervision in a manner consistent with the organization while working toward a license.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Completion of a 12‑month pre‑doctoral internship.
