Responsibilities

• Perform study-related responsibilities (phlebotomy, EKG, medication administration, physical exams).
• Support researchers with literature reviews, study design and case report drafting.
• Travel to investigator meetings as required.

Job Description

The Department of Dermatology in the College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant. The successful candidate will perform all duties related to the administration and coordination of clinical trials, including but not limited to:

• Patient recruitment, contact and scheduling
• Patient enrollment
• Reading and understanding clinical trial protocols
• Study related clinical responsibilities including photography, EKG administration, medication administration, physical examination, clinical assessments
• Other study related work as needed
• Original research including but not limited to, study protocol design, literature reviews and case reports
• Engagement with medical students including service projects and research
• Provide general administrative support, such as managing project files and scheduling meetings

Qualifications

• Expected or completed graduate degree in Medicine or other medical profession.
• Active medical license or license eligible.
• Experience in patient care with specific focus in Dermatology.
• Knowledge of clinical trials.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, participate in online trainings, and willingness to travel to investigator meetings.
• CITI GCP certification.
• Clinical skills including phlebotomy, EKG, medication administration and physical exam.
