Job summary

The Dermatology Principal Investigator will lead dermatology trials within Carbon Health’s integrated research network, ensuring FDA and GCP compliance and high-quality data across sites.

Candidates must be a board-certified dermatologist with at least two years post-training and PI experience on two randomized, double-blind studies, with an active medical license and willingness to travel between North Hollywood and La Habra, CA.

Qualifications

• Board-certified dermatologist with at least 2 years of experience post-training.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical trial experience, including PI on at least 2 randomized, double-blind studies.
• Active medical license in the research site's state with no suspensions.
• Ability to lead clinical teams and maintain sponsor relationships.
• Proximity to a research clinic with regular onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead dermatology trials (Phase I–IV) per FDA/GCP guidelines.
• Perform patient assessments and protocol-specific tasks.
• Oversee sub-investigators and study staff.
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to study teams.
• Evaluate patient eligibility and review study feasibility.
• Attend site initiation and sponsor monitoring visits.
• Communicate study details and treatment goals to patients and sponsors.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement teams.
