Hawthorne Health, Inc. seeks an experienced Principal Investigator (MD/DO) for a part-time, 1099 role to lead dermatology trials within a community-based site network across the U.S.

The PI will oversee trial conduct, ensure adherence to GCP/ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements, and manage the clinical research team and IP responsibilities. The role requires strong leadership, meticulous data integrity, and ability to work on-site 2–4 times per month with remote oversight.

Qualifications

• Must be an MD with experience leading at least three sponsor initiated trials as a PI or Sub-I.
• Current, unrestricted medical license.
• Experience with Dermatology indications in clinical trials and/or in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and regulatory requirements for clinical research.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsabilités

• Accurately document findings and contribute to trials or research protocols.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of clinical trials at the site, ensuring adherence to protocol and regulations.
• Lead and supervise the clinical research team, including sub-investigators and staff.
• Delegate study-related duties to qualified personnel with proper training.
• Conduct remote review of patient assessments to ensure proper enrollment.
• Review laboratory results, ECGs, and other diagnostic tests for accuracy.
• Make critical medical decisions regarding participant care and protocol deviations.
• Ensure complete and timely collection of all study data.
• Communicate with sponsors, CROs, IRBs, and regulatory authorities.
• Manage investigational product accountability and IP storage per protocol.
• Participate in site initiation visits, monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
• Maintain continuous medical education and stay current with advances in clinical research.
