Job description

Monarch Dermatology & Surgery is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our independent, physician-led dermatology practice in Northern Colorado.

We are looking for a thoughtful, clinically strong provider who enjoys practicing high-quality dermatology, building long-term patient relationships, and working in a collaborative environment. Prior dermatology experience is strongly preferred, and we are particularly interested in a PA who is looking for a long-term practice home.

Monarch provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatologic care, with particular expertise in skin cancer, cutaneous oncology, Mohs surgery, complex medical dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. Our advanced practice providers work closely with board-certified dermatologists and have direct physician access for challenging or complex cases.

Position Responsibilities

The PA will provide evaluation and management of a broad range of dermatologic conditions and will have the opportunity to develop a practice based on his or her experience and clinical interests.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Comprehensive skin examinations and skin cancer surveillance
  • Evaluation and treatment of common and complex dermatologic conditions
  • Evaluation and biopsy of suspicious skin lesions
  • Cryotherapy and other office-based dermatologic procedures
  • Medication management and treatment planning
  • Follow-up care for chronic dermatologic conditions
  • Patient education and counseling
  • Minor surgical procedures based on training and experience
  • Collaboration with physicians on complex medical, pediatric, oncologic, and surgical cases
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado
  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Comfortable practicing with appropriate autonomy while valuing physician collaboration
  • Excellent documentation, follow-up, and continuity-of-care skills
  • Professional, dependable, team-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care
Why Join Monarch?

Monarch Dermatology & Surgery is an independent dermatology practice serving patients throughout Northern Colorado. We combine the clinical depth of a specialty dermatology group with the personal relationships and flexibility of a physician-led private practice. Our providers have access to a broad spectrum of dermatology, including medical dermatology, skin cancer care, Mohs surgery, pediatric dermatology, and procedural dermatology.

We value:
  • High-quality, thoughtful patient care
  • Collaboration between physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Appropriate provider autonomy with readily available physician support
  • Long-term patient relationships
  • Strong communication and teamwork
  • A supportive, professional work environment
  • Opportunities for continued clinical growth and development of individual areas of interest

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dermatology PA who wants to practice independently while still having meaningful physician collaboration and access to complex dermatology.

Schedule

Full-time is preferred, although we are willing to discuss schedule structure with the right candidate.

Start Date

Flexible. We would ideally like our new provider to begin by late 2026 or early 2027, although an earlier start is welcomed.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation based on dermatology experience, schedule, and productivity.

We offer a compensation structure designed to reward productivity while providing appropriate support during onboarding and practice development. Benefits will be discussed based on schedule and employment structure.
