Job summary

Dermatology Specialists of Canton in Canton, Michigan seeks a Full-Time Medical Assistant with Mohs experience to join our team. You will work with our Mohs surgeon two days a week and support the regular dermatology clinic the rest of the week.

This role offers hands-on exposure to medical and surgical dermatology, patient care, and a collaborative environment. Prior Mohs experience, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Prior Mohs surgery experience preferred.
• Experience assisting with dermatologic or surgical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a physician-led healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining examination and surgical rooms for patient care and procedures.
• Assisting the Mohs surgeon and other providers with surgical procedures.
• Supporting the Mohs surgical process and assisting with patient flow throughout the stages of treatment.
• Providing clinical assistance during dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, wound care, and other in-office surgical procedures.
• Preparing instruments and supplies and assisting with cleaning, sterilization, organization, and inventory management.
• Greeting patients and providing professional, compassionate, and attentive service throughout their visit.
• Obtaining, documenting, and updating accurate patient information and medical histories.
