Job summary

Apex Skin in Northeast Ohio seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers with both clinical and administrative tasks, including rooming patients, assisting with dermatologic procedures, documenting in the EMR as a clinical scribe, supporting patient education, and performing front office duties as needed.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, clinical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Medical Assistant experience preferred; dermatology experience a plus.
• 2+ years of MA experience preferred with emphasis on accuracy and patient care.
• CMA, RMA, or MA certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vitals, and update medication lists.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions and dermatologic procedures.
• Scribe for providers and document notes in the EMR in real time.
• Maintain patient records and EMR documentation for compliance.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care.
• Handle front office tasks and schedule appointments.
