Job summary

Apex Skin in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with clinical and administrative tasks, including rooming patients, assisting with dermatologic procedures, and acting as a clinical scribe in the EMR.

This full-time role (32 hours per week) involves front office duties, patient education, and travel to nearby Apex Skin locations as needed. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential; dermatology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs, collect histories, and update medication lists.
• Assist providers with biopsies, excisions, and dermatologic procedures.
• Scribe for providers in the EMR in real time and document treatments, diagnoses, and instructions.
• Maintain patient records and EMR documentation to meet compliance standards.
• Educate patients on provider instructions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
