Job summary

Responsibilities

• Room patients, collect and present HPI, enter medical history, update medications, obtain consents, print handouts, provide quotes, and record vitals.
• Scribe for basic and complex visits (e.g., Botox, fillers, cosmetic consults, laser).
• Anticipate patient and physician needs and prepare accordingly.
• Prepare and review patient charts prior to appointments; resolve deficiencies.
• Proficiently use EMR and EMN to retrieve patient history and documentation.
• Organize and maintain exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Set up and assist providers with procedures and post-procedure instructions.
• Initiate and complete biologic prior authorizations and prescriptions.
• Manage autoclave and clean dermatologic instruments.
• Assist with medication management and patient counseling, including skincare regimens.
• Remove sutures and change dressings as directed.
• Contact patients with pathology results.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Support codes and billing issues; handle scheduling and insurance verification.
