QualDerm Partners in Chicago, IL is hiring a Medical Assistant to support dermatology patients and providers in a fast-paced clinic. You will welcome patients, obtain vitals, assist with exams, and document visits in the EMR, helping ensure efficient, high-quality care.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with a team of dermatology professionals to uphold best practices and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Medical Terminology knowledge.
• 1-2 years' experience in a medical office (dermatology practice preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments, review medical histories and medications, and obtain vital signs as needed.
• Assist providers with examinations, in-office procedures, injections, and suture removal as directed.
• Accurately document patient visits, treatment information, and provider instructions in the electronic medical record.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; sterilize instruments; and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate patient communications, test results, prescription requests, referrals, and follow-up appointments according to provider direction and practice protocols.
• Prepare procedure documentation, confirm required consents, and accurately label and log specimens.
• Protect patient privacy and contribute to a respectful, collaborative team environment.
