Job summary

VITALSKIN PHYSICIAN MANAGEMENT LLC in Saint Charles, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Providers in the clinical setting. This role involves rooming patients, documenting HPI, updating med histories, performing basic procedures, and assisting with cosmetic treatments.

The position requires familiarity with EMR/EMN, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining patient care quality. On-site role with local travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers with patient office visits: rooming patients, collecting and presenting HPI, updating medical history, obtaining consents, printing handouts, providing quotes, recording vital signs.
• Scribe for basic and complex visits (e.g., warts, Botox, fillers, cosmetic consults, laser, Mohs surgery).
• Anticipate patient and physician needs and prepare accordingly.
• Prepare and review patient charts prior to appointments; ensure chart completeness and resolve deficiencies.
• Proficiently use EMR and EMN to retrieve patient history, pathology, and other documentation.
• Organize and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Set up and assist Providers with procedures (e.g., biopsies, Botox, fillers).
• Provide post-procedure instructions (e.g., wound care).
• Initiate and complete prior authorizations and prescriptions.
• Manage autoclave and clean instruments.
• Assist with medication management and patient skincare counseling.
• Remove sutures and change dressings as directed.
• Contact patients with pathology results.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Support billing issues and scheduling tasks.
