Riva Dermatology in Cornelius, NC is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with providers to deliver excellent patient care and smooth practice operations.

Ideal candidates are organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented, with a focus on patient experience. High school diploma or equivalent, with Medical Assistant certification preferred, and prior clinical experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have strong, clear communication with patients and staff.
• Experience with medical terminology is desirable.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked.
