Job summary

Qualderm Partners in Monroe, NC is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers, prepare patients, and maintain smooth clinic operations. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication within a dermatology-focused team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA certification preferred, and prior clinical experience. Knowledge of dermatology terminology and proficiency with EHR systems are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Prior MA experience or clinical setting experience desirable.
• Knowledge of dermatology terminology helpful.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with EHR and basic office applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimens.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications and skin care.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized and stocked.
