Job summary

QualDerm Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dermatology team on a regular part-time basis (20-29 hours per week). You will prepare patients for exams, perform necessary procedures, and support physicians with diagnostic testing and documentation in EMR systems.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN certification, has at least one year of medical office experience, and demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse Certification required.
• One year medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent; will train a highly-motivated new graduate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam room; takes history and vital signs as applicable.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s condition.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Assist with exams, biopsies, surgeries, and excisions.
• Effectively uses EMR system to document patient records with proper English grammar, spelling, and syntax.
• Assist with injections and patient care services as directed by Medical Providers.
