Job summary

Forefront Dermatology in Monroeville, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the dermatologist during patient visits and promote a friendly, efficient clinic environment. Responsibilities include rooming patients, documenting vitals, scribing, post-op wound care, blood draws, stocking exam rooms, scheduling appointments, and assisting with procedures such as biopsies, Mohs surgery, phototherapy, injections, and patch testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum post high-school education in a medical support field (CMA, LPN, or RN).
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred; Forefront Derm Tech certification may be required for non-certified MA.
• Experience in a medical office is preferred (1+ years).
• Proficiency with computers and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documenting vitals.
• Scribing information for the dermatologist.
• Providing post op wound care to patients.
• Drawing blood and suture removal.
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as biopsies, Mohs surgery, phototherapy, injections, and Koh preps.
